Rob YandersThis is ‘Battle of the Border’ part 2 in the BBL Championship this weekend!

The last time we played against the Eagles it went into double overtime and so many people have said that it might have been one of the best games ever played at Braehead Arena.

We have really been playing well together as a team. I feel if we continue to play that way we will win a lot more games to come.

Everytime we play the Eagles it goes down to the wire. One of the other reasons this game is big for us mentally is that we play them again in the BBL Cup semi finals just a couple of weeks after this weekend’s championship league game. We need to let them know that we are for real and set the precedent for the next time we play them.

The cup is one of the biggest events in the BBL and we want to be the one to claim it this year. This is big for our team. The Rocks will be there to play, you better belive it.

People stay tuned for ‘Battle of the Border’ part 2 and 3 coming your way within the next two weeks!

Much love and respect to everyone in the league Rob. God Bless

We are at it again with the Sheffield Sharks this weekend for the BBL Cup competition. This is the biggest game of the season for us and we are very excited.

We have played the sharks twice so far and have come up short against them each time, but I would have to be honest, I feel we had both of the past two games won and let them slip away late in the games.

Have we learned from our mistakes? Did we beat ourselves or did Sheffield really beat us? Those are the big questions for our team right now.

We are very confident about this weekend. If we come to play 40 minutes of basketball we will come out of this game victorious. Stay tuned everyone because one the biggest games in the biggest competition is about to be played. Much love and respect to everyone in the league. Rob peace and God bless.

This week we play Everton which will not be an easy game!

Last time we played them the game went into overtime, and we won. We are really looking forward to playing them this week though.

We’ve had a great week of basketball for our club, coming off a double header weekend and a pair of great results. We hope to continue our winning streak.

Our practices have been great as well, we have all been making each other better and that’s all you can really ask for from your teammates.

I am confident that our team will be ready this Friday, so stay tuned.

Much love and respect to everyone around the league. Rob. God bless

We have been getting ready for the start of a new season. Yeah that’s right, the Cup, one of the biggest events in BBL basketball.

It’s a season where anyone can win it. It’s all about putting a few games together. We are excited about this weekend and welcoming the challenge of the Wolves - it’s all or nothing.

This is a chance for our organization and team to win something. We know what’s up for grabs here, let’s not fool ourslves. This game will be about us, nothing more and nothing less.

We are a good team and just need to remember that when we’re playing. Coach Davis has done, and I believe will continue his mission to get this team where it belongs - top of the table and into the cup championship.

Much love and respect to evryone around the league, Rob.

Welcome back everyone to what will hopefully be another exciting game tonight. We are now well into the season with our roster complete. Many of you will have already seen the last new addition to our team, Bilal Clarance. He has definitely been everything we hoped he would be in his arrival both for our team and the organisation. We have been very pleased with his contribution both on and off the court and look forward to working with him in what we hope will be a successful season.

As for the season right now; we have played 2 more games winning one and losing one. Our game against Cheshire Jets was a great exhibition of team basketball from my standpoint. We definitely came together and worked as one focused unit to get that victory. What we were most pleased about was our defensive intensity from the jump ball. We work hard everyday on our defense and to see the hard work pay off was definitely gratifying for the team.

Then on Wednesday we played our northern rival Newcastle Eagles and if you were able to attended that game you could see why this game is everything its hyped up to be. The game, from start to finish, would have to be one of the most exciting games ever to be played at Braehead. Both teams threw blow after blow at each other until there was nothing left. It was definitely a tough loss for us as a team because we felt we really left it all on the floor that night and to not be able to reap the benefits of the work we put in over the 50 minutes definitely hurt but it also made us stronger. It showed that we have a lot of heart and that we can and will compete with anyone in the league when we play to our potential. All we have to focus on now is turning these close losses to wins and the sky’s the limit.

On behalf of the team I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and encouragement. It really means a lot to know that no matter what happens our fans are always there riding with us, which we felt on that night and every night we step on the floor.
